Teltonika RUT850 modem for in van WiFi

Just been trying out the RUT850 and it seems to work well off 12V - Have a Three Data SIM in it - does up to 4G LTE with diversity, and has a WiFi. We have a diversity antenna on the roof.

Will even work to another WiFi hotspot and do back to back WiFi with 4G as a backup, or vice versa.

See here for details

Just as a note - also now using Freesat with a small Humax decoder HB1100-S which i got from Humax Direct - not only does it do 7 Day Programme Guide, runs of 12V, but also is playing loads of videos via a plug in SSD Drive on the USB port .....

Today we went to Aviemore by train from Pitlochry - arrived delayed so we just missed the 1230 Strathspey express. We did have a look around Aviemore, and had some nice tomato soup!

Then a travel back across the Cairngorms to Pitlochry, to an evening BBQ with friends.

Thursday 21st June - Birmingham to Blackpool and Strathclyde

We stopped off at Blackpool South Caravan Club site and picked up a Hyundai i10 automatic from Enterprise hire at around 4.30.

We then went to see one of Helen's old friends in Keighley for a curry, and the next day to Peter Hambilton for the last time (he retires at the end of the year) for the annual service. Peter kindly fixed the hinge on out glove box. We meantime went to Kirby Lonsdale to see Helen's Uncle.

Our last day at Blackpool was spent shopping and resting, and we gave back the hire car at 3PM, and the fish and chip van came to visit.

Today was blustery in Blackpool, and we left at 9AM to drive to Strathclyde Country Park site just off the M74. Crossing into Scotland at Gretna Green.

Nice and sunny at the moment, and a chance to get the washing done!

There is a lake and Roman Camp and bathouse nearby with walks...
