At the Beer Festival

Waiting for the steam train to Holt!

Nice day out with steam trains and beer! Both with small glasses in hand! It got very busy later on.

On the way home with the two pint take-away packs. We had fish and chips for supper at the site with JQ and D&D. All controlled by 2m Handhelds Amateur Radio.

At the North Norfolk beer festival at Sheringham

Just arrived at the station.

West Runton

Arrived here Thursday. Big storm last night, thunder and lightning!

Went to Cromer yesterday on the bus after a large breakfast for me, and a veggie curry for H. Walked round Cromer and saw the pier.

John and Linda arrived in the evening and found a spot next to us under the trees. Had small Pimms and G&T in the evening.... or two.

Cromer pier!

Rainy day by the sea at Kessingland

But went to the Waterside for lunch - the bottle of Rose proved to be the cause of a long afternoon sleep!

Bit grey but a nice view ......... of the sea.

Lowestoft for the day

Stopping off for a Latte at the Theatre. £3.80 for the Bus from the Sailor's Home at Kessingland. Lots of useless bargains bought in town, and food from M&S!

By the Seaside at Kessingland again

Here by the seaside at Kessingland White Beach again.

Only forgot the pillows, so not too bad a start! WiFi is working well, but the Oyster TV has lost lock again, it needs to be redone and search the skies.

We got seven new tyres, Michelin Agilis, for £60 each, not too bad. Thye got fitted by Stowmarket Fastfit who are used to us now. Also a full service at Mercedes Trucks at Martlesham. Now we are ready to chill by the sea for a few days ... and go to the pub of course!!

We got space number 3 overlooking the sea (which is just in the distance). Newspapers are ordered!!

29 May 2015

Back from a very long cruise. All serviced (nothing wrong at all and very dry), and passed the MOT. Due for a full service and new tyres next month. All 7 tyres!!

23 July - Journey Home!

Set of slowly at midday, after tidying up and blowing up one of the rear tyres whose red LED indicator was flashing. Useful things - buy them from here.

Came home from Lowestoft via the A146 and A140. stopping off at the Bucks Head at Thwaite. Plenty of room at the side to park, and really good fresh food and friendly service. Worth looking out for!

A lovely break for a week by the sea ........................

21st July 2014 Southwold

Day trip to Southwold. Lunch on the Pier, went to do some shopping and met up with old friends, and then back home to a bottle of fizzy rose from Adnams.

20th July Sunday Lunch

... at the Waterfront in Kessingland. Interesting to track the Thunderstorms today at Lightningmaps .

Still, the Prosecco has dulled the pain!

19 July 2014

19th July to Lowestoft and beyond!

On the 61 Bus today to Lowestoft from Kessingland Beach for £3.50 return each, where we had a couple of burgers. One chicken and hoisin sauce burger, another veggie one which I'm told was the best ever ... at Daisy's near the marina.

Visited M&S for some more basic food supplies, and got some more house keys cut. A grand day out!

17th July 2014 White Beach Caravan Club at Kessingland Suffolk

Back here for a while, with a good bus service to Southwold, The Sailor's Rest Beer Festival at the weekend and the Waterfront Cafe for Sunday lunch I think it will be a pleasant one .... with a sea view ....

Everyone is taking it easy.....

15 May 2014 Blackpool to Home

Long drive - stopped off at Stratford services on the M6, then the M6 toll which we got our caravan club discount for (only £4.50 for an HGV motorhome) and the Brampton Hut A14/ A1 junction. Started at 0930 and arrived home by 1700 - averaging just under 20 mpg which is not too bad! Sunny most of the way.

Went over the Manchester ship canal -

and the Satnav took us on a small diversion through Suffolk on the way home!
